I am a fish ecologist, ecological modeller and lecturer at the Department of Biodiversity, Ecology and Evolution of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).

My current research is mainly focused on understanding the eco-evolutionary pathways by which species respond and adjust to rapid environmental change in distributional boundaries and in highly anthropized systems. This requires an integrative framework linking behavioural and evolutionary ecology to population ecology. To address this complexity, I combine field comparative studies and laboratory experiments with mechanistic simulation models and advanced tools from quantitative ecology.

In the next page, I provide an overview of my education and professional experience. In other sections of the website you can find information on my main research interests, the most relevant research projects I have participated, my peer-reviewed publications and ecological models that I have entirely or partially progammed, tested and analyzed.
